Is it possible to measure the flow velocity or volume flow in round, square or rectangular pipes or ducts?
Yes – with deviating profile factors.
Can the measurement be performed directly behind a floor or a valve or other such fixtures?
No – the air turbulence would lead to a clearly flawed and therefore unusable measurement result.
Specified inlet and outlet distances must be given due consideration.
In which media can calorimetric flow sensors be used?
Exclusively in air and gases (non-condensing).
Is it also possible to measure in liquids or moist media
No – because the flow sensors work according to the calorimetric measuring principle (anemometer).
